How Important Is Adding New Content in SEO
SEO stands for search engine optimisation and is the process of driving high volume of quality traffic to a website. There are several methods, tools, and elements that work in tandem to make an SEO campaign successful but at the heart of the entire process is “high quality content”. Content can be used in SEO in different forms like through articles for publishing, through website copy or content, through e-books, through press releases, through Pay-per-click campaign copy and much more.
Content is definitely still the king but internet content needs to be fresh in order to attract high volumes of website traffic. Search engine spiders are always looking for fresh and relevant content. Basically, search engine spiders look for content and index the page. Once your webpage has been indexed, it will not be touched by spiders unless you have new or fresh content. The same content will not be indexed multiple times. Hence, it is extremely important to add fresh content to your website so that you are able to cross the tipping point. The tipping point refers to a point where your website visibility as well as ranking will start to recede in the index and will slowly become stagnant. This is where search engine optimisation (SEO) will stop working.
The fact of the matter is that there is an HTTP/1.1 status code, which is used for summarizing whether the content on your website has changed or not. This is most commonly known as the 304 HTTP status code. One of the best tactics is to keep editing the content on your website using relevant and newer keywords so that the internal linking of the website is strengthened. For example: If you have been using keyword A on the homepage then replace it with similar keyword B so that the content will remain fresh and page can be indexed well. This is why adding new content is so important to make SEO successful.
